INTERVIEWS

If you’d like to have me as a guest on your podcast or show, please contact me.

As a guest on many shows from 2011 to 2016, I was invited to speak with various hosts on subjects of spirituality and life. As I prepared to share them with you here, I found that most of them are no longer available online.

My Life in an Hour with Jeff Ferrannini, host of Planetary Spirit

(Feel free to skip past the music interludes.)

This interview about my life describes the context and foundation for my latest book, published 13 years after this interview.

In this 2011 interview, you will learn how I got on my spiritual path, my mother as my coach and guide, and what led up to deconstructing the false self I had created to allow the new, true me to emerge. The experience of the Descent of Holy Spirit solidified my desire and intent to be one with God – no matter what that meant I had to go through.* You’ll hear what fear, beliefs and assumptions are for, what the Ascension Path is about, the transition from day job to my true calling, and my internal process of accessing spirit in everyday life as well as in my work.

*To learn about my “story of becoming” read my first book: Sweet Water Shadow Woman, a memoir.

Improvelocity - interview and improvised music

Improvelocity, a group I co-founded with Andrea Loretz-Frey in 2003, was interviewed by Michael Bolanger for New England Art Scene Podcast at one of our rehearsals in August 2007.  It was a delightful interview interwoven with our improvised music. After what sounds like the end, there was an impromptu reading of OZ, the interviewer’s script, read in accents by Improvelocity members, and my sad-fun check-in about my vehicle breaking down (total time 44:27). We created and improvised delicious music together with various musicians until 2008 when a few moved away or went on to other projects.

Pictured left to right: Lia Davis (piano, accordion, melodica, kazoo); Joel Cohen (cello); Ukumbwa Sauti (percussion & midi-keyboard); Andrea (soprano); Michael Carey (tenor sax, flute; not present for interview); Tonia (alto, percussion); Paul Rodriguez (guitar, vocals; present for interview, not pictured).
